Louis Botha, Afrikaner soldier and statesman, 1900 (1951). Botha was Commander-in-chief of the Boer forces from 1900 during the 2nd Boer War (1899-1902), leading a guerrilla campaign against the British. After the war he served as Prime Minister of Transvaal from 1907-1910, before being elected President of the Union of South Africa, an office he held until 1919. A print from 100 Years in Pictures, A panorama of History in the Making, text by DC Somervell, Odhams press Limited, London, 1951. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
