Pierre Eugene Marcellin Berthelot French organic chemist and politician, c1885. Berthelot (1827-1907) worked on explosives and dyes, and proved that hydrocarbons and other organic compounds can be synthesised from inorganic materials. He was one of the founders of thermochemistry. He served as French Foreign Minister from 1895-1896. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
