War of the Spanish Succession: Battle of Blenheim, 13 August 1704. John Churchill, Duke of Marlborough (1650-1722), mounted at the Battle of Blenheim (Hochstadt). Marlborough commanded the British and allied forces in the War of the Spanish Succession early in the 18th century. He won a series of victories over the French including Blenheim (1704), Ramillies (1706), Oudenaarde (1708) and Malplaquet (1709). This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
