Brewery kettle, 19th century cutaway artwork. This the boiling stage where a liquid known as wort is boiled with hops inside a metal container to impart flavour and produce beer. Here, a fire is being used to supply heat, while a stirring apparatus is being used to mix the beer. The array of circular elements is a cross-section through piping, possibly used to cool the boiling liquid. Engraving from 'Grands Hommes et Grands Faits de l'Industrie' (Great Men and Great Facts of Industry), published in France circa 1880. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
