Born in France, Béatrice Coron spent a year in Egypt, a year in Mexico, then two years in China. She moved to New York in 1984. All of these places left their mark on her thoughts, life and her art. Coron's career took her from illustration to bookarts, fine arts and now public art. She favours an expression that encompass all her creative instincts. She creates by papercutting and adapts her designs working in metal, stone and glass. Coron's work can be seen in major collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Walker Art Center. You can see her public art in subways andairports.
