Privat Livemont’s exquisite posters depict beautiful women clutching glasses of absinthe as though bestowed from the gods. Hailing from Belgium, Livemont (1861 – 1936) was known for his absinthe-themed Art Nouveau ads. Originally a painter, he taught himself lithography after a poster design he exhibited won first prize. Livemont’s distinctive artworks are exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide.
