This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper is acid free with a smooth surface.

About the Art

Infusing his Parisian ‘bon vivant’ vintage advertisement art with bright lively colors and highly pictorial style, Francisco Tamagno introduces hints of his own Portuguese origin and signature style. Tamagno can be counted among the original movement of the Turn of the 20th Century’s fanciful graphic poster tradition that is enjoying a resurgence in popularity today as vintage art. Born in Sintra, Portugal in 1851, his early artistic career was as a portrait painter before moving to Paris in the 1880’s. He became the house artist of printer Camis; preparing theatrical playbills at first, and eventually graduating to posters for railroads, bicycle manufacturers and distilleries. Tamagno died in Paris in 1923.
