A brilliant artist and visionary, Marley wrote and performed reggae music that transcended all categories and cultural boundaries, and established him as a mythically revered musician. Dropping out of school at age 14, he was inspired to sing, eventually uniting with the Wailers. Marley was a devout Rastafari, considered by many to be a prophet of the religion. Marley’s revolutionary songs melded political activism and religion, with the goal of creating “One World, One Love.”
