The whirlwind of energy that music creates swirls rhythmically through the spontaneous lines of Alfred Gockel’s “Stroking the Keys.” From Germany, Gockel’s artistic genius emerged when he was only 8 years old and his art was published in a magazine. He originally studied graphic design, advertising and typography, was an active freelance artist after he graduated, and has been a full-time artist for many years. Owner of his own art publishing company, Gockel’s versatile work ranges from etching to serigraphy, and is renowned worldwide.

Alfred Gockel creates powerfully distinctive abstracts which are alive with rich, primary colors, deep black accents, ebbing and flowing lines, and intensely kinetic motion. Born in Germany, Gockel had his first artwork published when he was 8 years old. Originally studying design, with an emphasis on typography, graphic design and advertising, Gockel later began painting full time in his highly identifiable, signature style. His work ranges from etching to serigraphy, and has been used by the porcelain, carpet and sportswear industries.
