      I like the print on canvas as it is light. Especially in regions where there are many earthquakes it is great to avoid having to frame the pictures with glass. BEsides, the canvas gives the image an extra dimension and makes it more special.

        In 2000, I had seen the print in a home in the Outer Banks (over the fireplace) and I fell in love with it. Since my daughter is an equestrian/trainer, I thought that one day, I would love to see the print in her own home. As I was decorating her new house, I needed a big print for over her sofa and with a little research, I found it on Art.com. We couldn't have been happier with the print and frame. It looks beautiful.

            The picture is better than I expected. The colors are just right for my bathroom. I love the color and quality of the front of the frame.

            The only thing I don't like is the back of the frame. It is made from vey thin paper, and has a wire for hanging. Looks cheap in the back.

                Weightless figures float out of gossamer backgrounds in Marta Gottfried's dreamlike works. Gottfried was raised in Mexico City in an artistic household that enjoyed visits from luminaries such as Frida Kahlo who provided her with creative guidance and encouragement. Precocious from the start, she began selling her paintings in high school. Particularly influenced by the Impressionists, her favorite subjects are landscapes, animals and dancers rendered in soft, soulful tones that emanate peace and spirituality.
